Important Announcement Regarding the Ohio Job Fair 2008

September 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Our goal is to make the Ohio Job Fair event the best possible experience for you to possibly find your dream job, and not just a job, but a career, with some of the best companies in the area. However, this year, 2008, we were only able to register a few Fortune 1,000 companies and some non-profit organizations, but lots of companies who have registered to exhibit at the Ohio Job Fair 2008 are those poised to offer low paying and entry level jobs.

We have over 25,000 quality job seekers who have registered for free to attend the Ohio Job Fair 2008 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. And, most of them are from Ohio but some of these candidates are from as far as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. We even have some from New York City.

Due to the fact that the majority of companies who have registered to exhibit at the Ohio Job Fair 2008 are mostly those who, most of you might have already seen at some of the past job fairs in the area, offering average, low paying and entry level jobs, we feel obligated not to go on with this year’s Ohio Job Fair.

We don’t want to disappoint you for driving or coming from far away to attend our job fair event just to be disappointed by not finding what you’ve expected from us. We want to make sure that if you would spend your last gas to come to our job fair event, then that it will be worth it.

Therefore, we want to apologize that we cannot go on with this year’s Ohio Job Fair, but to make the next year’s job fair the best event. We will offer a full refund to every company that has registered and paid a fee to exhibit at the Ohio Job Fair 2008. For the non-profits that have registered for free under our non-profits free exhibit booth offering, if still needed, we will honor our promise to you to have a free exhibit booth for the Ohio Job Fair 2009 event. And you don’t need to re-register, we will keep you in our database, however, if you decide not to participate in next year’s event, simple email us and we will be happy to delete your information from our database.

To get ready for the Ohio Job Fair 2009 event, we will start marketing our next year’s job fair as soon as possible. We will aggressively market it in most metropolitan areas in Ohio and online, but we will be very selective to what company will be registering to exhibit at next year’s job fair, because we know that you want and expect the best from us, and only to come and possibly meet face to face with only the companies that are offering the best and better paying jobs from executive management to blue collars.

The 2009 Ohio Job Fair will be held in Columbus, Ohio in July 2009, the date and time is still being finalized. If you have any questions or comment, please feel free to contact us at any time.

We want to thank everyone who has registered for the Ohio Job Fair 2008 and all those who have supported us. We feel really bad for canceling this year’s event, but we will feel worse if we don’t meet your expectations. We hope that from here on, that each year, we plan to exceed your expectations and demands. And remember, the Ohio Job Fair will always be free entrance for every job seeker.

Over 12,760 Job Seekers Registered for the Ohio Job Fair 2008 in Less Than 72 Hours

August 10, 2008 · Leave a Comment

We’ve just launched our OhioJobFair.org web site on August 5th, 2008, and after a full-day of online viral marketing via StumbleUpon.com, Yahoo Groups, Digg.com, Spicypage.com, Facebook, LinkedIn.com, Upcoming.yahoo.com, and Last.fm, it generates a large explosion of over 12,760 registered job seekers for the Ohio Job Fair 2008, to be held in September 2008 at The Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Our actual ad campaign (radio and TV) starts on August 20th in all five major cities in Ohio, which are; Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. We’ll run our 30 second and 15 second spots on 3 different radio stations (soft rock, rock, and R&B), and one CBS affiliate TV station in each of these five cities.

Forbes recently ranked some of the fastest dying cities in the U.S., which includes; Youngstown, Canton, Dayton and Cleveland in Ohio, with Detroit and Flint in Michigan also making the ranking. They report that this is due to a large fleeing of the population trying to escape the waves of unemployment and barely growing economies.

With so many people out of work, especially in Ohio, and as soon as we start running our ad campaign, we estimate that over 100,000 users would be registered as job seekers to attend the Ohio Job Fair 2008.

However, since pre-registration for the Ohio Job Fair 2008 is free for any job seeker, we don’t actually know who and cannot estimate who or how many will actually come to the Ohio Job Fair 2008 event, even though they’ve registered, that may not mean that they will come, but we hope that those who are registering are those who are actually looking for quality jobs and will actually come and see what we have at the Ohio Job Fair 2008.

Also, we do not promise that any of these job seekers will actually be able to find a job or get hired by any employer. We are simply opening the doors for willing employers and job seekers to conveniently meet face-to-face in one easy central location, The Greater Columbus Convention Center, which may make it even easier for hiring companies to find suitable candidates for their vacancies.

Learn more about the Ohio Job Fair 2008 at www.ohiojobfair.org and pre-register for free to attend as a job seeker or register your company to be one of our exhibitors.
